The love of Christ finds expression in ordinary, practical acts of kindness.
We sometimes imagine purpose as a distant destination: a big assignment, a public platform, or an extraordinary moment. But love has work to do in the ordinary places where we already live.
In 1 John 3:18, believers are encouraged to express love in action and truth. This is an invitation to let our words and choices belong together. Kindness becomes tangible when we listen carefully, keep our promises, and notice a need we can help meet.
Look around your day. Who could use encouragement? Where can you be generous with your time? Which relationship needs patience? You do not need to solve every problem to make one loving choice.
Pause and pray: Jesus, help me recognize opportunities to love today. Let my faith shape the way I speak, serve, and respond to others. Amen.
